well the river here at ironbridge is looking very inviteing, so hows this for an offer.
haveing spoke to to jacqui she suggested inviteing someone off the site to come & stay over for a night, so.........
does anyone fancy staying at mine for a night, go for a beer & have a go for the barbell local to me next day.

Take a nice sunny day in May, a red hot swim on the Dane river just out side of Klaipeda, add some quality Skimmers, sprinkle in a few good Roach and leave to simmer.

Just a little less than a week after a bonanza of skimmers at the swim I know as sunken tree, I returned ready for more and was not to be disappointed.

Well i did say i was going fishing and that's exactly what me and the wife did,up at 6 am this morning,very humid and the sun just coming up over the horizon hot day ahead and hopfully some nice fish as well.

Got to the pools around 6-30am and as expected there was matches on most of them but we did find one that was free although the carp guys were there with there three rods going all over the pool,now the pool is only a small one so why three rods and there was four of them...

Having had to do a few odd jobs around Château D'Otis in the morning, it was gone lunchtime when I finally managed to sneak off to the local club lake for a few hours fishing.

Well it been a very hot day here in Crewe, venue Border Fisheries, lake was Three Islands Pool and the fishing was to match, I fished a junior match today and i drew a good peg had a tree to my left and lillies in a corner to my right and open water to an island a dream peg for any match angler in this weather! When to the local pond near Wilford next to the Trent......Baits were red and bronze maggot, red worms, pineapple boilies, sweetcorn, pellets and meat......
I fished a rod on the alarm with pop up pineapple boilies with normal boilies and mini pellets. 10lb main line with a 8lb bottom. A float rod with waggler and a size 14...

For my latest session it was very much a case of being a different day wearing a different 'T' shirt fishing in a different swim but in the same weather and with the same result.

Enveloped by a wonderful chorus of bird song and lost happy in my day dream I cycled across open country side to the near end of Lake Ekete to where it tapers into something resembling a Fenland drain. This is the opposite end of the same body of water I had fished just 2 days earlier, catching...

are you fed up of the eye pulling out of your expensive pole floats ,if so then just watch this little video of alan scotthorne in his fishing shed and what he does to them ,i my self used to paint around the eyes with hard as nails like he does but the other bit well you decide, to get to it move slide bar to around half way and watch from there !!!!

as some of you know i live right on the severn at ironbridge & pass over it several times a day.
now....yesterday at 09:00 whilst takeing my wife (jacqui) to work, i noticed two guys fishing down towards jackfield on the dawley side.( by the free bridge)
