I'm off to sunny (i hope) Gloucester to fish the carp society's
Horseshoe lake on Thursday for 48 hrs
A carp rod out for the BIG carp im going to get, and a Avon rod
out for the Tench.

I have subscribed to A C F for about 5 years always delivered on time with no problems apart form when they have a free gift cover mounted. This month there was supposed to be a spool of line with the mag and a voucher for money off further purchases of the line. My mag did not have it. I have emailed the mag and was sent a copy of an email sent to the subscriptions department who are supposed to sort out these problems but nowt else has happened in over a week. We have a creek that runs along the back of our lot. There is a bend in it and it is loaded with carp, bass, sunfish and bluegill. What is the easiest way for my kids to catch the carp? They have tried several different "carp baits" and some oddball ideas that actually did get bites but not the catch. They fish for fun, not to keep. Thanks in advance if you have any tips.

In the a.t this week there is a writeup about supermarkets putting more carp on the fish stalls than ever before this year as they have to cater for the eastern block over here,realy,what do you think about this only i think that by doing this you are opening a flood gate for those that can plunder our waters and sell carp on the black market,it as been said that it might help to stop fish thefts,i can't see it myself,why pay when you can take thats how they will look at it!
