Can anyone recommend a chair for pleasure fishing. I don't need one of those super-comfy chairs that seem to be designed for carpers, but the lightweight stalking chairs look too flimsy. Is there anything in between?

Hi all i just thought i would write this post and tell you about the new Prestons pole roost and their new Mega side tray, I have just purchased both items today and i can tell you they are both excellent pieces of kit, the roost can take upto 8 top kits it as a swivell joint at the bottom so you can raise it up or down, the tray can take upto 6 bait tubs with ease and when it is attatched to your box it can slide from left to right so it makes it easy to set up it also has a stablising leg,...

In the AT this week is a good topic on line strengths and how misleading they are i mean how many of us actually take time out to find out if the line breaking strain is accurate or not very few i would think as we take for granted what is printed on the label such as BS 4lb but what if in fact the bs is 6lb or the other way 3lb it really does make a big difference as you all know with rig set up and hooklengths.

Having a good safety hook length in terms of breaking strain is a must...

Hi fellow anglers

Could anyone recommend the best make and size of float to use with lobworms fishing for lower Thames perch?

Would it be best to use a weighted or unweighted float - and what would be the rating in No 8, AAA, BB, SSG or good old fashioned grams?

(I'm a permanent novice angler so any advice would be welcome - don't really know where to start!)

I have had the same holdall for many years now and it is still in good nick zip works fine no signs of any ware all the seams intacked but i need another one now for my spare gear the one i have for these is going thread bear at the bottom of the holdall and this is a new one compared to my other one.

The one i refer to is not a top make model infact i cant find anything about it,i think it is a cheap make but a good one i was given it seven years ago now so it must be at least...

Looking for a recommendation.

I have a Milo Royal something or other. A three piece take-apart in carbon. I've had this for what must be nearly 20 years!!!

I love it, light and stiff, and just the right length when I need only two sections and equally always seems to be just right when I need three sections.

Trouble is, the thread is now looking so worn down that I am worried that when I screw a net on some time soon, there won't be enough thread to grip...

Hi all
went fishing today and discovered the first ring (reel end) of my match rod has lost its lining...what is best to do its not an expensive rod (okuma haunt power match 13') new rod or repair...if repair does anyone know of anywhere in east anglia???

Mines probably My Jw Avon/Quiver ,as its usually the first rod i reach for when going fishing ,as i know it so well , every little creak And tension as i battle with my latest monster gudgeon . Instinctivly knowing its & mine Limits and knowing i can completely trust It .

Quick change bead as pole connector????

Hiya all.

Just wondered if the Korum quick change beads could be used as a connector instead of the stonfo type connectors for smaller size elastics on match type kits??
Would these work? Just seem smaller and neater than the shop bought connectors and they don't come undone??
