OK.......I thought my PC was clean.........I have just run this new edition and it has picked hell and all .....

Anyone who has installed AVG 8.0 ...please run a full scan NOW!! This updated version is a fantastic little program, even gives a tick or a cross on web pages you search in Google!!

I downloaded it to update my 7.5 version. It uninstalled the 7.5 with no problem but 8.0 won't run properly.

I have now got rid and installed Threatfire from PC Tools. This is the same company that runs the Registery Mechanic program.

Yes i know KAZ but being a numpty like i am i did something wrong and my computer was left unprotected as a result i already had the mcafee so logged it on

i just could not run the risk of useing the com without the anti virus.

Dont know what went wrong with my download but it left me without protection for a wile in the end had no alternative but to install my mcafee that to has a check program like you mention Bruce mate but it is not free never mind win some lose some

something else i installed with the AVG 8 is the tool bar (search shield) which effectively checks all sites on the internet, when you go and google something you end u with a green tick at the side of each site meaning there are no threats within that site !!!!!!!!!!!

Lets not forget, the instructions looked like hieroglyphics with a Yorkshire accent. When you think, i had travelled from Liverpool, I think i done remarkably well to have gotten within a 1oo yards of the pegs.

KAREN,its no good given derek instuctions he cant bloody well follow them !!i gave him step by step instructions to the best pegs on the SWALE with diagrams and the THICK SOD still got it wrong ,and bricks will testify to that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steve 56, i've downloaded it but haven't yet installed it. did you uninstall 7.5 first or just install 8.0 over the top of it. thanks.

I was running the free 7.5 a.v.g but have downloaded 8.0 now installed no probs

No need for the help now i have got rid of it and loaded up the mcafee instead now i am protected once more,my computer as been playing up for some time now but it only seems to be on this site,very slow to load up and freezing yet on go fishing site it seems to work okstill have not done the systems clean yet it is just on this site i have the problems,strange

Need help i downloaded the 8.0 version but it as not registered my computer is now unprotected i pushed the run button and followed what it said then it said you have now downloaded success fully,no way i have alerts telling me i am not protected now,should i have saved or something as it as gone into my temporary files help please

after 31st may updates will not be available for the 7.0 version so i advise you to download the free AVG 8.0 version now before you forget !!heres the link .....
