Lands End to John O'Groats And Back Again 2009
This event will be huge, enormous and gigantic. Myself and others including Alan Suttie from NUBA will be walking or wheeling from Lands End to John O'Groats and back again.
The Walk will be a long one taking upto 4 months to complete, it will be taking place between April and July, because of this we will need volunteers to help drive the buddy bus for a day, a few days or even a few weeks whatever you can spare. Please PM me with the details of who you are and how long you can spare.
This walk will obviously take place all over the country so it doesn't matter where you are as we will need help all over the country from Cornwall to Northern Scotland and every where in between.
I will be taking part in the whole walk/push and will be joined by various people throughout the walk, If you cannot come along and drive why not come along and walk, push or be pushed along part of the route electric scooters are more than welcome too.
We will be looking for people to sponsor the walk either by the mile (The total distance covered will be about 1600 miles) or by giving a lump sum. There will be varying levels of sponsorship from a penny a mile to 20p a mile of course you can give any amount you can afford.
We will also be looking for sponsorship of the fuel and food on the way so if there is a company local to you who might like to provide some food for a few days of the walk please pass their details to me so i can contact them and discuss our needs.
The money raised by myself and companions on the walk will all go to achieve the stated aims of Reels On Wheels, helping less/disabled people either get back to angling or to try it as a sport where disabled people can compete or participate on an equal footing with able bodied participants.
