I learnt this 1 the hard way when I fished the feeder for the 1st time when I lost a feeder in the middle of the lake.
If you clip your line while feeder fishing you may find ya line goes PING and ya feeder goes PLOP after a while............Try putting a very thin piece of elastic in the the clip to cushion your line this will stop the line rubbing on the clip and causing ya line to snap when casting..........I had a good few hrs left fishing and the line stayed put! More to the point I didn't lese my other feeder! lol

Or instead of using the clip, fold a piece of brightly coloured insulation tape over the line and trim the excess off so it goes through the eyes on
the rod if need be .
