ello Waveney - I wasnt being funny, its just that Fisho is so peggy aint it! I have fished a few qualifiers, and a lot dont fish when they know the peg they
have drawn. Its a lottery most of the time as you know. Apols if my comment came across in the wrong way.

No problem mate, no offence taken. I am so laid back most people think I'm dead!
Yes they are very peggy, there were probably about 10 pegs in with a chance at the the end of the day and they needed the right angler on them! The winner came from one of those pegs that everyone wanted. |

some anglers get tickets for more than one fisho and like in angling times today ,a lot of anglers dont bother turning up . or as lester ,said ,if the pegs or
whatever arnt the best ,then they dont fish them . Tell that to the anglers who tried to get tickets and failed ,i dont think they will be happy . and yes i
know that anglers turn up at some of the venues ,just in case people drop out or dont show , up so they can have a crack at the fisho , thats fine i have
not got a problem with that ,
maybe a fairer way would be to give one ticket or venue and nothing more to each angler , .what do you think ? ... bk

BK sounds a good idea, but I suspect it would take a lot of work to ensure that it did not get abused
You can achieve more with a kind word and a length of 4 x 2

I think that only 1 ticket should be given out initially to each angler for their nearest venue. Then if a venue isn't full those that wanted one for the
nearest venue but couldn't get them be offered the next chance at their next nearest venue. If that didn't use up all the tickets a second ticket could
be issued to those that regularly fish lots of fish o' venues. The problem being the admin costs of course.
At Barford there were loads of locals without tickets waiting at the draw. I believe that 10 people didn't show in the end but that all of those had rung in to say they couldn't make it. A lot of hopefuls waiting for tickets were disappointed and wandered around watching the proceedings. |

Waveney One,
I know how you feel mate. Colton was exactly the same on Sunday with all the fish showing in the lower numbers of the lake. Roll on the warmer weather. Colton will start to liven up a bit. Roo

Fisho is a lottery, although a good angler on the right peg will be in the frame. MY annoyance about Fisho is.. as lots of anglers say,.. its the allocation of
tickets. But what the hell, it makes for a discussion topic doesn't it?
We can't change it, but we chat about it a lot, hence more publicity for the event, etc. and... most anglers are like sheep... they follow the sheep dog, as in Matchroom , who run the thing. ; I think Matchroom have got it right, in making a big PR thing about it, it has almost become a cult amongst match anglers and forums now. Very clever marketing ;: |
