Hi all,
Got a match at Cobbleacre this Sunday. Fishing 8 - 2. Will let you know how i get on. Weather looking good so if I don't catch at least I can work on the tan.

Hi all,
Sorry for the late reply. Well it was a sorry old day all round and really hard work to get anything to take. The sun was beating down, the water gin clear and the bottom was covered in oxygenating weed to around 5 ft thick. Lovely place but not a lot happening. The carp were busy spawing and not interested. You could see the Roach, Rudd, and Ide cruising on the surface but they didn't take much notice either. The only fish that wanted to play where the very small Roach. When I mean small they were small. No bigger than your little finger and it took a few to even reach the ounce mark. In total I had around 30+ of these things and only weighed in 8oz. 
Still I didn't come last as others in the match didn't catch at all. Once the place stops spawning and the water starts to cloud a bit it will fish well but until then who knows.

Awww well done anyway Roo.......as the saying goes " ya can take a horse to water but ya can't make it drink" ...I found on a few occasions no
matter what bait you use and how up or down in the water ya fish...They just dont wanna play!!
But hay! at least ya didn't blank
