What did he do,well what do most of us do when fishing in the sun,got a good tan except in his case SUNSTROKE now that is nothing to lough at how many times do you see guys and ladies for that matter fishing away with little to no protection on there heads, neck and body's just soaking up the sun until they look like a well done lobster, the mind boggles, why do they take the chances surely they know about the harmful effects of the sun if not burn then heatstoke.
My friend was fishing and yes it was hot the sun was out all day and he just took his top off and with no head protection or neck he fished for six hours and only stopped when he started to feel ill dizzyness, feeling sick and violent head aches is what he was suffering, got home but the symptoms just got worse, the heat off his skin was unreal and he started to shake that is when his wife called me after calling a ambulance to ask what she could do,i was lost i had no idea all i could think of is keep giving him water and a cool cloth around his neck(not ice) anyway they took him to the hospital were he will stay over night it looks like he was lucky this time,i never fish with my top off in the sun,i always keep my t-shirt on and i always protect my neck and head in my case i use a brolly, there not just for rain are they.
Let a leason be learnt here,PLEASE be careful when fishing in the sun even those sun blocks you can buy might not be good enough,ALWAYS keep your self covered from direct sunlight unless you want to suffer realy bad but alass i think some might learn the hard way.
