Posts: 4306 16-May-2008 15:15	Tags : None Was it really 65 years ago that the DAMBUSTERS 617 SQUADRON made that daring raid on the Ruhr dams maybe changing the course of the war in to the bargain,we should all remember what these brave men did for us and they did it knowing that most would not return GUY GIBSON and co i take pleasure in saluting you sirs what you did will never be forgotten.

Posts: 424 16-May-2008 21:47	Stan, my first posting in 1981 as a fresh faced young airman was to RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, home of the mighty 'Dambusters'. They flew the Vulcan bomber then which was a pretty impressive aircraft itself. Bloody hell mate ..............27 years ago. I feel old now Wot! no peanuts?!?!
