Given the decidedly dodgy weather outlook for the next few days, I thought I might treat nyself to a little bit of rod-bending action tomorrow, but not sure
about plans for Sunday and Monday. I suspect I might be 'pressured' into doing some jobs around the house instead :-(

Went on a Maggot Drowners.com 'fish in' at Peterstone lakes between Cardiff and Newport. Got there for about 9am friday morning in shorts, t shirt and
factor 15 by 10am i had layers of clothing and waterproofs. It absolutely honked down and blew a gale all weekend. Packed up a day early yesterday as i had
already had a smashed pole in my bivvy and they had forecast very very strong winds and rain for today..............they were right.

Mick, you fished the river severn in -7 degrees, and yet, you let a little bit of wind put you off, tut tut, shame on you, i thought were a proper angler.

Derek mate, i put a 4AAA float on, aimed at the angler 10 yards to my left on the opposite bank and it landed 10 yards to my right. Oh and another thing, we
had a nice warm room with hot showers and a pub next door when we fished Ironbridge whilst at the weekend i had a flimsy tent and a damp sleeping bag(no i
didn't wee my pants Bruce!!!!) and a few warm cans of beer.
