Posts: 91 13-Jun-2008 10:29	Cheers Karen im doing a couple of nights at newerk sunday to tuesday for the first day then ive got a match on the trent at burton next weekend so ive already pushed it for babysitters and dont think the tribe would put up with the 3rd weekend in a row away but should be able to get down for atleast one of the days. What stretch is it looks familiar maybe chavender could post a link to a google map from the nearest village

Posts: 91 13-Jun-2008 15:19	ahhh thats why i recognise it cheers Ryan fished it a few times about 3 seasons ago think ive fished that actual peg in the last photo i remember casting to them bushes on the opposite bank for the chub was having a real good day with them but once it gets a bit later in the morning the boaters arrive so it makes it a bit awkward to fish the far bank. Ive got some photos of some barbel caught from down there but there what a mate caught so if he says its ok i will post them so you can see the quality of the fish down there. I always thought fiskerton was a nottingham aa water is it barnsley or is that an old sign?

Posts: 91 13-Jun-2008 18:05	Hi bruce its not too pacey but its a strong river i normally use around 2 to 3 oz drennen feeders and the same with leads all depends how much rain we have before hand but i would bring some 4 to 4.5ozs just in case. As for how big they go when we were down there my mate had a couple of nines and i know theres definately been a fifteen from this stretch its a big river and i wouldnt be surprised if it throws up the record this season so be prepared. I cant remember how snaggy it was but most of the trent is snaggy chavender will be able to fill you in better if he fishes down there more often baitwise i dont know what they were beingcaught on last season as i only barbel fished the first night of the season then spent the rest stickfloating and piking but the mighty halibut normally catches ive also had plenty on the source boilies fake hair rigged maggots dipped in halibut oil or good old wheat with hemp in the feeder. If low and clear go small and fine............ not too fine,....... though it is mostly snag free. Access is easy enough for your disabled angler, not far to walk at all. Good luck.........
