Got to the pools around 6-30am and as expected there was matches on most of them but we did find one that was free although the carp guys were there with there three rods going all over the pool,now the pool is only a small one so why three rods and there was four of them making 12 rods in all there are carp in there but not that many it is more for roach/Rudd than carp anyway i had a bit of a chin wag with this guy on the car park who i did not know and told him what these guys was doing now he was fishing a match later on but told me that there was a couple of 20/30 pounds in there and one that as broken three rods and two poles he thinks it is over 40 old fisherman's tails i thought,it turned out he was the bailiff of the pools and helps the stocking of them so he must know,but he said he would go and have a word with them as it was not fair on other users but as there was only me and the wife i said not to bother he told us to tell him if they get funny i said dont worry about that if they get funny with me they wont do it again in a hurry.
We set up station and started to catch straight away nothing big small roach and minnows but that is what we expected so no let down there,my wife fished her weighted waggler at half way up in the water with maggot/caster approach me it was pole in the margins short line hemp/worm section bait and we both caught freely no problems but nothing big.
Now the cheeky bit as i went to get a drink my wife took over on the pole and bagged the biggest fish of the day(sod it)a roach of 7 ounces not the biggest i know but a nice fish never the less i did take a pic of my wife and that roach in all a very nice day out in the sun just chilling out and no sunburn brolly came in handy so well pleased pics to follow;
