Posts: 1887 11-Feb-2009 00:37	how about we organise a species hunt ,where we try too catch a set number of species from both still & running waters ,with bonus points for bigger than average sized fish for species and the winner will be the member who completes the list first or with the greater points ( bonus points only used in case of tie breaker or draw ) a suitable prize will be found + small trophey for the winner well what do you think , is the idea a winner or stinker ?? steve I try to be funny... but sometimes I merely look it Last Edited By: chavender 15-Mar-2009 18:21. Posts: 1420 11-Feb-2009 05:40	Sounds a good idea Ste, but what would stop people posting photo's of personal bests they caught years ago, and pretending they'd caught them last week. I know most are honest, but you'll always get 1 or 2 that aren't. Or, they would have to take thier photo's with a recent newspaper clearly showing the date. Just a thought.

Posts: 1887 14-Feb-2009 09:59	i've got photoshop so can use the info tool too see if a image has been played about with ,as in each digital image there is user info embeded that can be read to discover time and date a photo is first put on a pc etc ,how many layers the picture has ,and even what camera was used .but i think the verify pictures and add a little twist a object (not directly assosiated with angling ) must be included in the photo ! steve I try to be funny... but sometimes I merely look it

Posts: 1887 23-Feb-2009 19:08	there will be a annual shield + small trophey to keep + a prize (probably a fishing rod or reel or personalised peacock hand warmer ! ) The species lists [bonus points ] roach [1½ lb+] rudd [1lb+] skimmer bream [1lb+] brean [3lb+] crusian carp or brown goldfish [1lb+] carp [8lb+] & [20lb+] ghost or koi carp [5lb+] barbel [7lb+] & [10lb+] chub [4lb+] perch [2lb+] gudgeon minnow stickleback tench [5lb+] pike [6lb+] Grayling rainbow trout brown trout The winner will be the person who collects all (or most) species and if more than one person is in line to win the tie breaker will be decided on bonus points ! you would get 1 point for each species ,A extra point if its over the prescribed size and a further point if its over specimum size and if still tied then a vote off by the members will decide the outcome. for a fish to qualify it must witnessed or be photographed with a small cuddly toy in the picture !!! just place it near the fish ,on the unhucking mat ,or in the landing net or dangles from a loop of line around your neck etc .it doesnt have to be that big ,that should keep things honest and harder to fake . steve I try to be funny... but sometimes I merely look it Last Edited By: chavender 23-Feb-2009 19:10.
